Interactive Virtual Tour
Hi, I am Sumile. I a local guide here in Kobe, Japan. This experience is about Shioya, my hometown, a quaint peaceful fishing village nestled in a valley, Kobe.
The experience includes mainly two parts: a virtual city tour and a home visit. In between, we will enjoy some quiz games, too.
I’ll introduce you to my fisherman friends and their Nori(seaweed) factory. Then through the tunnel, we’ll go into SHIOYA town. I’d like you to know about Japanese life by showing family portraits, a temple, a shrine, a cemetery, etc. I want to share my local vision with you, visiting a barbershop which has over 100 years of history, a tatami factory, and the Guggenheim heritage house. Shioya’s biggest treasure is lovely local people. You would feel such a heartwarming community with some shots of their interview.
In the end, I welcome you to my home. I’ll tell you about Kanji, Manga, etc through showing you children’s room, a kitchen and inside of a fridge.
And, I’d like to tell you secret tips for long life and to share each special foods with you.
This online experience is designed for individuals, couples, families, or student groups who want to explore and connect. Let me know if you need a private experience for groups.

Sumile is a charming and friendly host who loves her home town and is passionate about sharing it with others. Her English is excellent and she showed me many interesting cultural and foodie things. She was also very interested to learn about my country and my home. I strongly recommend this tour.
